Houseboat rates
Per boat, per night, with every meal and all taxes included. The same rate in every month of the year — there is no high-season price to be caught out by.

The rate covers the whole boat for the adults it sleeps. A child aged 5 to 12 added to the party is ₹1,000 a night, bed and full board included; under-fives travel free.
Dollar and euro figures are indicative, converted at roughly ₹88 to the dollar and ₹95 to the euro as of July 2026. Payment is settled in rupees.
When the rate changes
Twice, and only twice. Everything else in the year is charged at the rate above. Both are ranges, so ask the desk what your dates come to before you count on a figure.
Public holidays and festival season · +5% to 25%
Onam, Vishu, Diwali, Eid and the long weekends around them, when the whole district is booked at once. How much depends on the date, so the calculator leaves it alone and we quote it — tell us your dates and you get the figure, not a guess.
15 December – 5 January · +25% to 75%
Christmas and New Year, the one genuinely scarce window of the year. A ₹11,000 night starts at ₹13,750 and rises with how full the fortnight already is. It books out weeks ahead; if those are your dates, ask early.
What the rate includes
- The whole boat — you never share it with another party
- Every meal cooked on board: lunch, evening tea and snack, dinner, breakfast
- Crew of a captain, an engineer and a chef
- Air conditioning in the bedrooms, 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- Boarding at 12:00 PM, check-out at 09:30 AM
- The full Vembanad cruise route and the overnight mooring
- All taxes — the published figure is the figure you pay
- Drinking water, tea and coffee through the day
Paying
A 30% advance holds the boat for your dates. The balance is settled on board at check-in by cash, UPI or bank transfer. There is no card machine on the boat.
If you cancel
- More than 30 days before check-in:Nothing is charged; the advance is refunded in full.
- 30 to 17 days before:15% of the total booking amount is charged.
- 16 to 10 days before:30% of the total booking amount is charged — the advance, in other words.
- 9 days or less before:100% of the advance is charged.
- No-show:100% of the advance is charged.
If we cancel for weather or a mechanical fault, you are refunded in full or moved to another date, whichever you prefer.
Booking direct means the rate above is the whole rate. There is no agent margin and no online travel agency commission built into it.
